Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; lead a high-energy, client-focused retail environment
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives; ensure robust clienteling through client books, outreach campaigns, and loyalty program engagement
- Empower team members to personalize customer experiences and resolve issues effectively; lead customer data capture to support marketing and repeat business
- Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent; provide coaching and manage underperformance toward results
- Set clear performance goals, review KPIs (traffic, conversion, units per transaction, average unit retail), and coach team to target metrics
- Act as Store Leader during their absence; foster an inclusive and motivating team culture while building community networks to support recruiting
- Own store sales plans and forecasts; create action plans to address identified business opportunities and market gaps
- Inspire team to exceed performance standards across all sales channels and drive results-oriented execution
- Partner with corporate teams to analyze market data, sell-through trends, and optimize merchandising and promotional strategies
- Champion Kate Spade's aesthetic and brand philosophy; maintain brand and operating standards with consistent execution
- Execute visual merchandising directives and ensure an impeccable, on-brand store environment
- Communicate sell-through data, inventory trends, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and facility security protocols
- Manage staff schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing levels to align with business demand and seasonal peaks
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, safety standards, and loss prevention protocols
- Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy verification
- Manage live-stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive customer engagement
Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable retail environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with retail management systems and point-of-sale platforms
- Demonstrated ability to analyze selling reports and identify actionable market trends
- Strong English language proficiency
- Physical capability to lift and maneuver merchandise (25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally); ability to climb, bend, kneel, and work flexibly throughout sales floor and stockroom
Skills
Experience
2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle brands, or comparable luxury retail environments, demonstrating consistent achievement in sales leadership, team development, and operational management. Experience with omni-channel retail models, virtual selling platforms, and clienteling strategies is highly valued. Proven track record of exceeding performance targets, managing P&L responsibilities, and developing high-performing retail teams.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of advanced education and retail management experience will be considered in lieu of formal educational credentials.
