Kate Spade New York seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Eagan, Minnesota to lead retail operations, drive sales, and develop team members in a dynamic fashion retail environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Model Kate Spade Service behaviors and selling standards; lead a high-energy, client-focused environment on the sales floor
  • Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives; ensure clienteling through client books, outreach programs, and loyalty platform engagement
  • Empower team members to personalize customer experiences and resolve issues effectively, including management of customer data capture to support marketing and repeat business
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent; provide coaching and performance management, acting as Store Leader in their absence
  • Set clear sales and performance goals; review KPIs including traffic, conversion, units per transaction, and average unit retail; coach team to achieve targets
  • Own store sales plans and forecasts; create action plans to address business opportunities and inspire the team to exceed performance standards across all channels
  • Champion Kate Spade's aesthetic and operating standards; execute visual directives and maintain an impeccable store environment
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, facility security, and loss prevention compliance
  • Manage work schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing levels to align with business needs and seasonal demands
  • Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy; manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive customer engagement
  • Partner with corporate teams to analyze market data and optimize sales and merchandising strategies

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable retail environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to build and motivate teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with retail management systems
  • Ability to analyze selling reports, identify market trends, and react quickly to business opportunities
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally; capable of climbing, bending, kneeling, and navigating sales floor and stockroom environments

Experience
