Kate Spade seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Carlsbad, CA to lead sales, omni-channel service and store operations at Carlsbad Premium Outlets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Leader to maximize store productivity, profitability and KPI performance (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR).
- Lead by example on the sales floor: model Kate Spade service behaviors, drive omni-channel and virtual selling, and coach clienteling practices.
- Manage recruiting, onboarding, coaching and performance management; act as Store Leader in their absence.
- Own daily operational execution: opening/closing procedures, cash handling, schedules, payroll budgets, loss prevention and safety compliance.
- Drive client outreach, loyalty activity and customer data capture to grow repeat business and support marketing initiatives.
- Execute visual merchandising and brand directives; maintain an impeccable store environment and communicate sell-through and stock trends to corporate partners.
- Support inventory management, cycle counts and shipment accuracy.
- Leverage social media trends and host live stream shopping sessions to increase engagement and sales.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or a comparable environment; combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching ability with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; experience with retail systems and reporting.
- Ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends and implement action plans quickly.
- Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays; ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
- Right to work in the United States.

Minimum 2+ years of retail management experience in a fashion, lifestyle or comparable retail environment. A combination of formal education and relevant experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant retail or business coursework or associate degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
