Role & Responsibilities
- Act as on‑site leader in the absence of the store manager, directing daily store operations and staff.
- Supervise, coach and develop sales associates to deliver exceptional client experience and meet KPIs.
- Drive sales performance and conversion through targeted floor leadership, merchandising and clienteling.
- Open and close the store, manage cash handling, POS transactions and basic financial reconciliations.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure product presentation aligns with brand directives.
- Manage inventory flow between sales floor and stockroom, perform stock replenishment and cycle counts.
- Enforce compliance with loss-prevention, safety protocols and company policies.
- Resolve customer escalations professionally and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Schedule and coordinate associate coverage; assist with recruiting and onboarding as needed.
- Perform physical tasks required for retail operations, including lifting up to 50 lbs and stockroom organization.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; capable of climbing, bending and kneeling.
- Demonstrated leadership competencies: coaching, feedback delivery, team building and performance management.
- Strong customer focus with proven ability to build rapport and resolve escalations.
- Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced retail environment and driving results.
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and peak seasonal periods.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Experience
Typically requires 2+ years of retail experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity; experience in fashion or specialty retail preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in retail, business or fashion is advantageous.
