Kate Spade New York is hiring a part-time Acting Supervisor III at Destiny USA in Syracuse, NY to lead retail operations and team performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise sales floor operations and team performance during assigned shifts
- Support store management in implementing brand standards and visual merchandising displays
- Manage inventory control, stockroom organization, and merchandise flow
- Monitor and maintain sales metrics and customer service quality standards
- Train and coach sales associates on product knowledge, brand heritage, and customer engagement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and loss prevention protocols
- Communicate effectively with store management regarding operational issues and performance insights
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and point-of-sale operations
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience in retail operations
- Strong knowledge of point-of-sale systems and retail management software
- Ability to lift and move merchandise regularly (up to 25 lbs.) and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Physical capability to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build effective teams
- Customer-focused mindset with track record of driving sales and operational excellence
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Skills
Experience
Prior supervisory or assistant manager experience in retail operations is required, ideally within luxury goods, fashion, or lifestyle retail environments.
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent required; retail management certification or related training preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 16 to USD 24.75 per hour.
