Kate Spade New York Acting Supervisor I position in New York, NY; full-time retail management role overseeing store operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise sales floor and stockroom operations and staff coordination
- Manage inventory and stock rotation across sales floor and back-of-house
- Provide direct corrective and positive feedback to team members
- Build and maintain effective team morale and collaborative work environment
- Address customer needs and staff issues with direct, timely communication
- Execute physical tasks including lifting, climbing, bending, and kneeling as needed
- Anticipate operational trends and adapt to changing priorities
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
- Physical capability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport across organizational levels
- Experience managing or supervising retail operations
- Capacity to provide direct, actionable feedback and handle confrontation professionally
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in retail management, supervisory roles, or equivalent operational leadership in a fast-paced retail environment is required. Demonstrated excellence in exceeding performance goals and consistently delivering top-tier results is essential.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in business management or retail operations is preferred but not required.
