Kate Spade New York is hiring an Acting Store Leader in Denver, CO (Cherry Creek) to lead store operations, sales and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day store operations at the Cherry Creek location, ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures and adherence to operational standards.
- Drive sales performance and conversion by coaching the sales team, setting clear targets, and modelling exemplary customer service.
- Develop and mentor direct reports, deliver regular feedback, conduct performance conversations and support career development.
- Maintain brand presentation and visual merchandising standards across the sales floor and windows.
- Oversee inventory control, stockroom organisation, replenishment processes and accurate stock records.
- Manage cash-handling, point-of-sale procedures, and daily financial reconciliation to ensure fiscal accuracy.
- Implement loss-prevention measures, ensure compliance with company policies, and uphold safety standards.
- Prepare staff schedules, manage labour in line with budgetary goals, and support payroll processes as required.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or managerial retail experience, preferably within premium, lifestyle, or fashion brands.
- Demonstrable ability to coach and develop a sales team to achieve commercial targets.
- Physical capability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and to climb, bend and manoeuvre throughout the sales floor and stockroom.
- Flexible availability to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer focus, diplomacy and conflict resolution.
Skills
Experience
Several years of progressive retail experience with a track record of meeting sales targets and supervising teams; prior experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within a premium or lifestyle retail environment is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, retail management or related field preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.50 to USD 31.50 per hour.
