Kate Spade New York in Honolulu, HI is hiring an Acting Assistant Store Leader (full-time) at the Royal Hawaiian location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Leader in driving sales, KPIs and flawless execution of daily store operations at the Royal Hawaiian Kate Spade location.
- Coach, develop and motivate sales associates to deliver elevated customer service and meet individual and team targets.
- Lead by example on the sales floor: manage guest interactions, resolve escalations and cultivate long-term client relationships.
- Ensure brand visual merchandising and presentation standards are maintained; execute floor moves and seasonal resets.
- Oversee inventory control, stockroom organization, receiving, replenishment and loss-prevention procedures.
- Create and maintain staff schedules, assist with payroll timekeeping processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Perform opening/closing duties and other operational tasks as required, including occasional heavy lifting and stock handling.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership ability with demonstrated experience coaching and developing retail sales teams.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to resolve escalations and maintain high service standards.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays as required by retail operations.
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, to climb, bend and maneuver the sales floor and stockroom.
- Commitment to uphold brand standards, visual directives and loss-prevention procedures.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation under the ADA.
Skills
Experience
Typically requires prior retail supervisory experience; ideally 2+ years in store leadership or assistant manager roles, preferably within fashion or premium lifestyle brands.
Education
High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or diploma in business, retail management or a related field preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.50 to USD 38.25 per hour.
