A makeup artist and styling specialist for Jo Malone London, this role combines creative and technical expertise with customer engagement to deliver personalized in-store experiences. The successful candidate will educate clients on makeup applications, drive in-store events, maintain visual merchandising standards, and contribute to a high-performing retail team within a prestige beauty environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational and personalized in-store makeup consultation and application services to customers
• Educate clients on product benefits and makeup techniques aligned with brand values
• Execute in-store events and promotions to drive customer engagement and sales
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and store presentation to competitive levels
• Operate retail point-of-sale software and process transactions accurately
• Work collaboratively within a high-performing team to achieve sales and service targets
• Support inventory management and product knowledge across the Jo Malone London collection

Qualifications

• Certification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience preferred, though amateur-level experience with demonstrated creative and technical expertise is welcome
• Proven ability to deliver authentic, personalized, and inspirational customer service
• Capacity to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
• Proficiency with retail point-of-sale (POS) software
• Proof of right to live and work in Canada

Skills

Experience

While certification or previous retail makeup experience is preferred, the role welcomes applicants with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate strong creative and technical expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Formal makeup artistry certification is valued but not required.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 18 to CAD 28 per hour.
