Role & Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming deliveries against documentation; report and escalate discrepancies to store management and Head Office Stock Control.
- Manage in/out stock transfers and perform follow-up actions to ensure accurate movement and reconciliation.
- Support weekly reconciliation of unverified transfers and negative stock reports issued by Head Office.
- Perform cycle counts and participate in full stocktakes as required; reconcile variances and update records.
- Process, record and dispatch faulty or return stock in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain an organised, clean and secure stockroom; plan stockroom activity to accommodate peak trading hours.
- Transfer or relocate stock between storerooms when necessary and ensure correct shelving and labelling.
- Maintain stockroom controls to safeguard stock supply and ensure ongoing record accuracy.
- Communicate delivery schedules and stock issues proactively to the store team and Stock Control at Head Office and collaborate on solutions.
- Participate in store events and support the store team to deliver exceptional operational standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience as a Stock Controller or similar role with a recognised retail brand.
- Previous luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
- Proven proficiency with SAP for inventory and stock control processes.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a boutique team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
- Ability to prioritise multiple demands, adapt to change and maintain operational standards.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling of stock.
Skills
Experience
Proven hands-on experience in inventory control within a retail environment, ideally with a recognised or luxury brand. Experience executing cycle counts, reconciliations, stocktakes and managing stockroom operations using SAP is strongly desired.
Education
High-school diploma or equivalent; vocational qualification in logistics, supply chain or retail operations preferred.
