Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, client-focused service and proactively sell merchandise to achieve individual and store sales targets.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle exchanges, refunds and adjustments in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of promotions, product features, fashion trends and store inventory to advise clients effectively.
- Support visual merchandising standards, housekeeping and on-floor presentation to uphold the store brand image.
- Replenish stock and assist with product flow between the stockroom and sales floor; participate in ticketing and receiving checks as required.
- Identify and escalate loss-prevention or safety incidents to management; adhere to company loss-prevention procedures.
- Resolve customer enquiries and complaints courteously and escalate complex issues to supervisory staff when necessary.
- Contribute to the induction and on-the-job coaching of new sales colleagues when requested.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrable numeracy and accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with visual merchandising and basic stock management procedures.
- Awareness of retail loss-prevention practices and ability to follow compliance procedures.
- Right to work in the UK and flexibility to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Skills
Experience
Previous retail experience is preferred; experience in a luxury or premium retail environment is advantageous. Candidates should be comfortable working to sales targets and performing transactional duties.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent; retail or customer-service training is desirable.
