Role & Responsibilities

• Transport garments, materials and samples between production, quality control, packing and storage areas in a timely and safe manner.
• Support the production floor with basic preparation tasks: sorting, labelling, steaming, folding and light pressing of finished items.
• Maintain stock accuracy in the workroom and assist with replenishment of materials and consumables.
• Assist quality-control colleagues by flagging visible defects and segregating non-conforming items for rework.
• Prepare finished goods for packing and dispatch, including basic packing and tagging under supervision.
• Keep the workshop, sample room and storage areas clean, organised and compliant with health & safety rules.
• Participate in periodic inventory counts and basic record-keeping of incoming/outgoing items.
• Follow instructions from production leads, meet task deadlines and contribute to a collaborative workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for long periods and lifting up to typical warehouse weights.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to sorting and handling garments.
• Reliable timekeeping and flexibility to work part-time shifts as scheduled.
• Good communication skills and the ability to take direction from supervisors.
• Prior experience in a production, sample room or stockroom role preferred but not required.

Entry-level role; previous experience in apparel production, a sample room, warehouse or retail stockroom is advantageous but not mandatory.

Education

No formal educational credential required; secondary education (high school diploma) preferred.
