Global Retail Merchandising Assistant, Footwear role at luxury fashion company in London. Support seasonal assortments, sales reporting, and stock planning.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reporting highlighting KPIs including sell-through, stock cover, and best/worst sellers
  • Support maintenance of the long-range product plan, identifying risks and trading opportunities
  • Support preparation and planning of footwear global core assortment across retail stores and e-commerce channels
  • Collaborate with Planning team to monitor global stock levels, sell-through rates, and product performance
  • Work closely with Planning, S&OP, Customer Services and Production teams to ensure timely seasonal product launches aligned with critical path and marketing activities
  • Coordinate seasonal feedback from Regional teams to capture all market requirements
  • Liaise with Global Marketing, PR, Visual Merchandising, CRM and Retail Training teams regarding product focus for each trading period
  • Support Marketing and Press teams with regional product investments and seasonal buys for campaigns
  • Own sample control for the department to support global core assortments and ad hoc requests
  • Support coordination of Global production pre-orders for Retail and Wholesale
  • Maintain competitor awareness and monitor market trends within luxury footwear
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail merchandising or buying (internship or entry-level role acceptable)
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) and PowerPoint
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness and passion for luxury fashion, particularly footwear
