Jimmy Choo London: Regional Senior Merchandise Planner – Lead strategic inventory planning, buying forecasting, and stock allocation across luxury retail operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Achieve and drive assigned business goals and objectives including sales, inventory, and gross margin targets
  • Develop Building Blocks with Branch Planner to validate store-level budgets and establish sales curves based on historical performance and forward strategies
  • Create Open to Buy plans in conjunction with Merchandising, summarizing strategies for the Global team
  • Control stock levels across the region, establishing and monitoring country stock targets and KPIs
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve sales performance through stock transfers and reorders
  • Work closely with regional Merchandise Buying teams to determine topline Seasonal OTB strategy and present key targets to CEO, CFO, and Global Merchandising Teams
  • Determine OTB requirements by store and establish Seasonal Option Plans for all departments prior to buying campaigns
  • Oversee sizing strategy for seasonal buys and continuity reorders, incorporating market and client profile evolution
  • Collaborate with Demand & Branch Planning function to ensure auto refill requirements align with assortment objectives
  • Ensure markdown strategies align with store needs and proactively maintain inventory availability
  • Manage monthly reordering and forecasting of continuative lines, balancing stock availability with stock turn
  • Produce and analyze all product reports and sales analysis for regional business
  • Generate weekly and monthly trade commentary
  • Develop comprehensive hindsight analysis to inform product and inventory strategies
  • Perform ad-hoc sales analysis for senior management
  • Utilize Merchandise Planning Tool and Power BI for efficient workflows

Qualifications

  • Graduate calibre education
  • 5 years merchandising planning experience within fashion retail, preferably at a luxury brand
  • Omni-channel retail experience advantageous (in-store ordering and e-commerce fulfillment from store)
  • Merchandise Planning Tool experience advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills with ability to handle large datasets
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with exceptional reporting abilities
  • Commercial acumen to identify and maximize sales and profit opportunities
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes, particularly replenishment systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
