Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead PR strategy for Japan: cultivate media relationships, maximize press coverage and define clear brand positioning.
  • Develop and execute influencer and celebrity engagement programs to amplify brand prestige and reach.
  • Design PR-centric customer journeys that convert awareness into store and e‑commerce traffic, purchases and customer acquisition.
  • Localize global marketing initiatives and build annual and seasonal marketing calendars tailored to the Japanese market.
  • Coordinate integrated campaigns with Digital, CRM, Events and Retail teams to ensure consistent messaging and channel effectiveness.
  • Manage external agencies and vendors, ensuring deliverables meet brand standards and commercial objectives.
  • Partner with Retail to plan in‑store activations and events that drive footfall, improve conversion and deliver measurable sales uplift.
  • Define, track and analyse KPIs (brand awareness, traffic, sales) and optimise campaigns on an ROI basis using PDCA methodology.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail luxury goods and jewellery.
  • Minimum 5 years’ demonstrable experience in strategic PR planning and execution.
  • Proven track record of planning and delivering integrated marketing initiatives that drive commercial outcomes.
  • Native‑level Japanese and business‑level English communication skills.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional stakeholders and external agencies in a matrix organisation.

Experience
