Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Designer and Senior Design Director in the end-to-end design and development of women's shoe collections aligned with the Creative Director’s vision.
  • Contribute sketches, concept ideas and research to seasonal concept development and internal reviews.
  • Translate creative direction into commercially relevant product while maintaining brand aesthetic and awareness of market trends.
  • Prepare and maintain design specifications including materials, components and construction details for development teams and suppliers.
  • Conduct trend, material and technique research and share actionable insights with the wider design team.
  • Collaborate closely with Merchandising and Product Development to ensure collection delivery against timelines and commercial objectives.
  • Assist in fit sessions, spec reviews and development follow-up under guidance from senior team members.
  • Support preparation of materials and product for collection presentations and edit reviews.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external vendors/suppliers.
  • Monitor the design and development calendar and proactively suggest improvements to team processes and ways of working.

Qualifications

  • Fashion or Design degree (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Practical experience in footwear design with demonstrable exposure to women’s shoes
  • Experience working within a fashion brand or design studio; luxury brand experience advantageous
  • Familiarity with factory processes, supplier relationships and basic footwear construction
  • Portfolio demonstrating relevant footwear design work (required at application)
