Jimmy Choo seeks a Designer — Shoes Embellishment in London to create prints, embroideries and surface finishes for women's shoe collections. Portfolio required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design innovative embellishments, surface treatments and repeat patterns for seasonal women’s shoe collections and special projects in alignment with the Jimmy Choo identity and design briefs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Women’s Shoe Design team on concept generation, research, and development of prints, engineered designs, embroideries and branding motifs.
  • Produce freehand sketches, painted artwork, collages and CAD renderings and translate concepts into production‑ready artwork and technical sheets.
  • Develop new finishes and manufacturing techniques; select and specify fabrics, trims and materials with an eye to production feasibility.
  • Conduct trend, material and colour research, including attendance at trade fairs and supplier showcases.
  • Manage supplier and factory interactions in Europe (including supplier visits in Italy) to ensure designs are executable within factory capabilities.
  • Prepare and maintain collection overview documents, contribute to collection presentations and attend interdepartmental meetings (design, merchandising, commercial reporting).
  • Support additional categories or ad‑hoc design projects as required by business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Print or Design, or equivalent professional experience within an international luxury organisation with a strong embellishment focus.
  • Proven experience in embroidery, textile print and surface design with hands‑on familiarity of European factories and suppliers (preferably Italy).
  • Demonstrable portfolio of hand-drawn and painted artworks, CAD artwork and finished product executions — portfolio submission required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of printing and embroidery processes and pragmatic understanding of factory capabilities.
  • Refined aesthetic sensibility with a modern, feminine and glamorous approach to image and pattern design.
