Jil Sander seeks a Graphic & Print Designer Intern at Milan HQ to support creative development of print and graphic work across collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the print designer in developing placed and allover print and graphic work for menswear, womenswear, soft accessories, and special projects
- Research and craft narratives for ready-to-wear collections through on-site work, library visits, museum exhibitions, and supplier consultation
- Experiment with new techniques for developing artworks through drawing, painting, and digital design methods
- Collaborate closely with fabric development, creative studio, product development, and production teams
- Prepare print boards, research boards, overviews, and maintain print archive documentation
- Support presentation of graphic work to the creative director and cross-functional teams while gathering and communicating information
- Prepare color and artwork standards for transmission to print mills
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating hand-crafted artwork including drawings, paintings, illustrations, sketches, collages, and experimental creative work
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Exceptional hand drawing, painting, and sketching abilities
- Developed understanding of print market trends and competitor brand awareness
- Demonstrated strong color sensibility and aesthetic taste
- Fluent English communication
