Jean Paul Gaultier seeks a Retail Designer to create and deliver retail concepts for international fragrance launches, from initial design through production and market guidelines. The role coordinates multiple projects, stakeholders and suppliers, and ensures concepts are feasible, consistent with the brand identity and executed to a high standard. Permanent position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create and develop creative, innovative, bold and functional retail concepts for Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance launches internationally, including pop-ups, promotional podiums and window displays, while respecting the brand’s identity and codes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through international guidelines, coordinating internal and external expertise and ensuring consistency and quality of execution.
- Lead Retail Design projects for launches from concept to international guidelines, meeting deadlines.
- Translate marketing briefs into retail concepts aligned with Jean Paul Gaultier’s identity and evolution.
- Coordinate project stages, stakeholders and deliverables.
- Develop distinctive, creative and feasible retail concepts suited to each project’s requirements.
- Design and adapt concepts in 2D and 3D for different spaces and expression media.
- Maintain regular creative research and contribute to a 360° view of launches with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure concepts are feasible by accounting for technical, manufacturing and production constraints.
- Lead concept development with Procurement, agencies and suppliers, including POSM, materials, mock-ups and production documents.
- Track and adjust deliverables through final approval.
- Create and update Retail Design guidelines for markets.
- Ensure concepts are understood, adapted and executed consistently internationally.
- Support deployment teams and act as the Retail Design point of reference for managed projects.
Qualifications
- Strong sensitivity to luxury, fashion and fragrance, with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
- Creative and exacting, combining artistic sensitivity, rigour and a focus on execution quality.
- Collaborative team player able to communicate and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Autonomous and organized, able to manage several projects simultaneously, prioritize issues and meet deadlines.
- Communicates project progress clearly and in a structured manner to stakeholders.
- Ideally 5–8 years of experience in a similar role.
- Degree from a design school and/or a qualification in interior architecture.
