Role & Responsibilities
- Direct, coordinate, and monitor all operations within the Complications Cases workshop to meet production schedules, quality standards, cost targets, lead times, and safety requirements
- Execute comprehensive finishing operations on watch cases and components, including polishing, sanding, and brushing using specialized equipment while maintaining precise technical and aesthetic specifications
- Prepare cases for subsequent manufacturing stages (electroplating, setting) and assemble case elements (case body, bezel, caseback, crystal, gaskets) in compliance with tolerance and sealing procedures
- Perform rigorous visual and dimensional quality control inspections at each production stage, identify and report non-conformities, and maintain full traceability of components and operations
- Apply specialized jewelry finishing techniques to prepared cases, execute finishing on jeweled pieces including minor adjustments and repairs, and demonstrate mastery of precious metals (gold, platinum, steel, titanium)
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to optimize workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and continuously improve workshop efficiency and craftsmanship standards
Qualifications
- CFC (Swiss Federal Certificate of Apprenticeship) in Horological Case Finishing or equivalent certification
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in high-end horological finishing and jewelry preparation and finishing
- Advanced proficiency in horological finishing techniques (polishing, sanding, brushing) and operation of specialized finishing equipment
- Superior manual dexterity, excellent visual acuity, and comprehensive knowledge of metals (steel, gold, platinum, titanium)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings and work to precise specifications
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and commitment to quality craftsmanship
