Jaeger‑LeCoultre in Le Sentier seeks a Quality Engineer Intern — internship in precision watchmaking quality engineering at Jaeger‑LeCoultre, Le Sentier.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support daily quality control activities on production lines and sub‑assemblies, including visual inspection and dimensional checks.
- Assist in root‑cause analyses (8D, 5 Whys) and corrective action follow‑through with production, R&D and suppliers.
- Collect, analyse and visualise quality data to identify trends and opportunities for process stabilisation and improvement.
- Contribute to FMEA, SPC and other quality engineering deliverables to mitigate risk across component and final‑assembly stages.
- Prepare technical quality reports, non‑conformance records and work instructions under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Operate and maintain metrology equipment (micrometers, gauges, optical inspection tools, CMM where applicable) and ensure measurement traceability.
- Participate in supplier quality assessments and inbound inspection activities as required.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an engineering degree (Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, Mechatronics or equivalent) or recent graduate seeking an internship placement.
- Strong analytical aptitude with practical understanding of statistical methods and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, root‑cause analysis).
- Hands‑on familiarity with measurement and inspection techniques; basic metrology experience preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, methodical working style and ability to document technical findings clearly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; capacity to work across production, engineering and supplier teams.
- Proactive learner with a genuine interest in precision mechanics and watchmaking processes.
- Working knowledge of English; French proficiency advantageous.

Experience
Practical experience is not mandatory but prior internships or project work in manufacturing, precision engineering or watchmaking is highly desirable. Hands‑on exposure to inspection, metrology or supplier quality activities will be an advantage.
Education
Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or a closely related field.
