Production Engineering Intern at Jaeger-LeCoultre in Le Sentier, Switzerland – lead a strategic manufacturing project in this iconic Vallée de Joux watchmaking Manufacture.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition, securitization and deployment of sealing gasket procurement, storage and systematic replacement processes for case assembly operations
  • Integrate systematic gasket replacement protocols into production line specifications, component nomenclatures and repair workflows
  • Analyze and optimize component sourcing strategies, structure secure supply chain logistics flows, and implement a robust expiration date tracking and alert system
  • Optimize workshop workstation layouts, secure on-site inventory stocks to prevent use of expired components, and train operators and service watchmakers on new procedures
  • Provide technical support for root cause analysis and durable corrective actions on technical problems within production workshops
  • Contribute to ongoing maintenance of technical data including production line specifications, component nomenclatures and work instructions for other product lines
  • Participate in micro-optimization projects focused on process flow and workstation ergonomics across component typologies

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Microtechniques, Industrial Processes, Industrial Engineering, or Watchmaking from a technical school
  • Current enrollment in Master's degree (HES or EPF) in Industrial Engineering, Microtechniques, or Production Management
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel for logistical and technical data analysis
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint for project synthesis and presentation
  • Proven analytical and synthesis capabilities
