Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary studies and develop mechanical movement designs using 3D CAD software while managing PLM-related attributes
- Oversee the complete product lifecycle and ensure timely availability of technical data via PLM systems
- Manage technical documentation packages, verify compliance, and maintain accuracy of all technical files
- Lead design review meetings and facilitate cross-functional design validation
- Support product development through to certification and regulatory approval
- Collaborate closely with the horological laboratory and manufacturing methods teams to optimize designs for production
- Provide ongoing technical support and maintain updated technical documentation throughout the product's lifespan
Qualifications
- Advanced diploma or degree in watchmaking construction or microtechnics with watchmaking specialization
- Minimum 5 years of confirmed experience in mechanical watch movement design and construction
- Solid understanding of materials science and structural calculations applied to microengineering
- Proficiency in numerical simulation tools and compliance with NIHS, GPS, and other precision standards
- Mastery of PLM software and proficiency with PTC Creo
- Demonstrated passion for haute horlogerie and mechanical complications
- Strong analytical, methodical, and creative problem-solving abilities

Experience
Minimum 5 years of confirmed experience in mechanical watch movement design and construction within haute horlogerie or precision timepiece manufacturing. Proven track record of managing complex calibre development from concept through production certification.
Education
Advanced diploma or university degree in watchmaking construction, horological engineering, or microtechnics with specialization in watchmaking design and construction.
