Role & Responsibilities

  • Support engineering and production teams on design, prototyping and validation of watch components and movements.
  • Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings for parts and assemblies.
  • Assist with prototype fabrication, bench testing and functional validation; prepare test reports and measurement records.
  • Collaborate closely with watchmakers, quality and manufacturing to translate technical requirements into producible solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using lean methods and statistical analysis.
  • Perform metrology tasks and data analysis to support tolerance studies and process capability assessments.
  • Document technical specifications, assembly instructions and change notices under engineering supervision.
  • Present progress updates and technical findings to supervisors and academic tutors as required.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering or technical degree program (mechanical, mechatronics, microengineering or equivalent).
  • Strong academic record with demonstrable interest in precision mechanics and micro‑components.
  • Practical exposure to mechanical design and prototyping through coursework, projects or previous internships.
  • Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work in cross‑functional, multidisciplinary teams.
