Jaeger-LeCoultre seeks Industrial Flow Engineer Intern in Le Sentier, Switzerland to optimize component repair workflows and supply chain operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth Lean audit of the current repair process across different Manufacture workshops, mapping inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities
- Design an optimized target workflow that harmonizes operations across all workshops and enhances process transparency
- Define decision-making protocols regarding component repairability and establish clear cost allocation frameworks between internal production and external supplier responsibilities
- Develop and implement relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and establish visual management routines to track inventory of pending component parts
- Translate optimization recommendations into concrete operational actions, document new operational standards, and facilitate cross-functional team adoption (workshops, quality, logistics, procurement)
Qualifications
- Master's degree student in engineering school with specialization in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Continuous Improvement, or Supply Chain Management
- Strong theoretical foundation in Supply Chain methodologies and Continuous Improvement practices
- Demonstrated proficiency with quantitative analysis, process modeling, and performance management tool creation
- Structured, rigorous, and pragmatic analytical approach capable of translating complex operational challenges into actionable solutions
Skills
Experience
Master's-level student in Industrial Engineering or related discipline; internship or project experience in process improvement, supply chain optimization, or manufacturing operations is advantageous.
Education
Master's degree candidate in engineering with specialization in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Continuous Improvement, or Supply Chain Management.
