Jaeger-LeCoultre seeks an Engineering Intern to optimize Atmos manufacturing, lead materials innovation, and modernize production processes in the Vallée de Joux.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Audit and map existing Atmos manufacturing processes, analyzing component nomenclatures and operational efficiencies of historical production techniques
  • Systematically identify all lead-containing components and conduct applied research on substitute materials, proposing technically sustainable alternatives
  • Define and propose innovative modern manufacturing processes adapted to Atmos specifications
  • Study and engineer technical solutions to optimize manual polishing of delicate Atmos components while maintaining flawless aesthetic quality

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a master's programme at an engineering school (mechanical engineering, micromechanics, materials science, or industrial engineering)
  • Strong foundation in mechanical design and precision manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in technical drawing and blueprint interpretation
  • Knowledge of metallurgy and materials science fundamentals
