Jaeger‑LeCoultre in Le Sentier seeks an Engineering Intern to support mechanical design, prototyping and testing in haute horlogerie.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support engineering teams in the design, development and prototyping of mechanical watch components and modules.
- Produce and iterate 2D/3D CAD models, engineering drawings and documentation to established tolerances and GD&T standards.
- Assist with bench testing, assembly trials and validation of mechanisms under production-like conditions.
- Collaborate with production, metrology and quality teams to translate design intent into manufacturable processes.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise component performance and yield.
- Contribute to rapid-prototyping activities including 3D printing, small-series machining and finishing operations.
- Maintain clear technical records, test reports and version control of design data in accordance with internal procedures.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Mechanical Engineering, Microengineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, materials and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Practical experience with prototyping, bench assembly or laboratory testing from academic projects or prior internships.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity suited to precision-engineering environments.
- Professional attitude, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and willingness to learn traditional watchmaking techniques.

Internship-level experience expected: prior academic project work, laboratory practice, or a previous internship in mechanical design, prototyping or precision manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory.
Education
Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microengineering, Mechatronics or a closely related discipline.
