Jaeger‑LeCoultre in Le Sentier seeks an Engineering Intern to support R&D and production engineering projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support engineering and R&D teams in prototype development, assembly and testing of mechanical watch components and movements.
- Perform hands‑on tasks in machining, micro‑assembly and adjustment under supervision to validate designs and production methods.
- Contribute to technical drawings, documentation and test reports to record findings and support serialisation.
- Assist with measurement and metrology activities, using precision instruments to verify tolerances and component quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes, tooling and ergonomics on the production floor.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, production, quality) to troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain strict compliance with confidentiality, safety and quality standards in an atelier environment.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a recognised engineering programme (Mechanical Engineering, Microengineering, Materials Science, Mechatronics or equivalent).
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail and affinity for fine mechanical systems.
- Solid grounding in mechanical design principles, technical drawing and measurement methods.
- Analytical problem‑solving skills and the ability to translate test results into actionable recommendations.
- Professional attitude, reliability and willingness to work in a precision manufacturing/atelier setting.

Experience
Current engineering student with coursework or practical experience in mechanical design, laboratory work or an earlier internship in precision manufacturing; prior exposure to watchmaking or micro‑mechanics is an advantage.
Education
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microengineering, Materials Science, Mechatronics or a closely related discipline.
