Jaeger‑LeCoultre in Le Sentier seeks a Data Engineer Intern to support data platform and ETL development at its Vallée de Joux ateliers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation and testing of data ingestion and ETL processes to consolidate production, quality and after‑sales datasets.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflow orchestration scripts to ensure reliable, timely data availability for analytics and BI.
- Collaborate with data scientists, IT and product teams to translate business requirements into data models and schema designs.
- Contribute to data quality, validation procedures and documentation to support traceability and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with performance tuning, monitoring and deployment of data platform components in development and staging environments.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in an engineering, computer science, data science or equivalent graduate programme.
- Solid programming skills in Python and fluency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Strong analytical aptitude, attention to detail and proven ability to work with complex, multi‑source datasets.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Interest in manufacturing processes, IoT telemetry or product lifecycle data is advantageous.

Experience
Practical experience through university projects, prior internships or personal projects building data pipelines, ETL flows or analytics solutions. Familiarity with working in multidisciplinary teams and delivering documented, testable code.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Le Sentier, Vaud, Switzerland, with easy access to Geneva.
