The Assistant Boutique Manager supports Jaeger-LeCoultre's Boutique Manager with daily boutique operations, sales performance, team development, client acquisition and development, and operational compliance. This full-time role requires 5–7 years of management experience, preferably in luxury retail, and offers an expected annual salary of $75,000–$80,000.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Boutique Manager with day-to-day boutique operations, motivating and directing the team to deliver exceptional service and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Participate in and lead activities that improve sales to prospective, repeat and VIP clients.
  • Set the tone on the selling floor, contribute to sales and sales assists, and promote exceptional customer service.
  • Support the Boutique Manager in assessing the team's needs.
  • Train and guide the team on Maison history, RNA policies and procedures, and product knowledge.
  • Schedule the team to provide appropriate coverage in line with business needs.
  • Guide the team in meeting KPIs and achieving goals, and provide regular performance feedback, coaching, accountability and development support.
  • Lead the boutique and ensure business continuity in the Boutique Manager's absence.
  • Help ensure payroll and commissions are completed on time and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Help supervise the safety and wellbeing of the team, clients and products by following RNA safety and security guidelines.
  • Follow RNA finance procedures and policies and ensure the team does the same.
  • Comply with reporting requests as required.
  • Ensure visual merchandising policies and procedures are followed in line with headquarters and Visual Merchandising Manager requests and guidelines.
  • Ensure associates continue developing new relationships and meet their client acquisition and development KPIs.
  • Analyze individual and boutique performance, identify business opportunities and support appropriate action plans.
  • Maintain VIP relationships and work with corporate teams to build and foster those client relationships.
  • Build client loyalty by guiding clients through customer journeys.
  • Work with associates to ensure they use the available CRM tools.
  • Travel with clients to events and manufacture visits when appropriate.
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly activations are completed.
  • Help build positive relationships within the community.
  • Provide feedback on competition and an understanding of traffic.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of management experience, preferably in luxury retail.
  • Critical-thinking skills and a solution-oriented approach.
  • A team-player spirit and the ability to work effectively within a group or team dynamic.
  • Autonomy and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in work responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills; another foreign language is highly appreciated.
