About Jaeger-LeCoultre

Jaeger-LeCoultre, founded in 1833 in the Vallée de Joux, is one of Switzerland’s most revered watchmaking manufactures and a maison defined by invention, precision, and discreet elegance. As an employer, it offers a rare environment where artisans, engineers, designers, and commercial talents collaborate across more than 180 specialist skills, from movement development and grand complications to métiers d’art and client experience. Within the Richemont group, the maison combines heritage with international reach, encouraging rigorous craftsmanship, continuous learning, and respect for time as both a technical measure and a cultural value. Its teams contribute to enduring creations shaped by excellence, curiosity, and shared responsibility.

The Art Director develops visual concepts from brief to final delivery within Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Creative Studio, collaborating with the Creative Director, project managers, internal teams and external partners. The role covers campaign and content concepts, photo and video production, asset consistency and delivery across brand touchpoints. This is a five-month fixed-term contract.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts for product and brand campaigns, digital content, social media and print materials.
  • Translate briefs into clear creative proposals, including moodboards, art direction treatments, key visuals, layouts and storyboards; present and explain creative choices.
  • Adapt concepts across Jaeger-LeCoultre touchpoints, including event and retail communication materials as required.
  • Prepare and support photo and video shoots, defining references, framing, lighting, sets and styling with production teams and external talent.
  • Oversee image selection, retouching, editing, colour grading and adaptations; ensure product details are accurately represented and assets are visually consistent.
  • Coordinate creative feedback with internal teams and external partners, and work with project managers to meet deadlines and production constraints.
  • Take ownership of ongoing projects quickly and organise working files and creative decisions to support a smooth handover.

Qualifications

  • Established experience in art direction within an agency or an in-house creative studio.
  • Experience in luxury, watchmaking, fashion or beauty is an asset.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual culture, a keen eye for composition and typography, and the ability to take a concept through to execution.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with a sound understanding of photo and video production workflows.
  • Experience with motion design or AI tools applied to creative development is a plus.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to quickly understand a brand identity, take over ongoing work and manage several projects in parallel.
  • Professional proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
