Role & Responsibilities

• Oversee new retail concepts and formats across DOS, WHS, SIS and Outlet in collaboration with the Department Lead (Head of Design) and cross-functional teams, including Window, Store Planning and Execution, ensuring alignment with global brand strategy and guidelines.
• Create guidance tools and standards for concept execution, supporting internal and external planning teams, global and local shop construction teams, Visual Merchandising and Procurement.
• Lead the preparation of presentation materials with the Head of Global Store Window Design for board presentations and key sign-off milestones.
• Guide the design team and external resources to deliver against strategic objectives and project timelines.
• Lead design development for flagship and pilot projects with the Head of Global Store Window Design, concept owners and regional shop construction teams.
• Support regional training summits across Retail, Shop Construction, Merchandise Management and other business functions.
• Identify opportunities to evolve and innovate concepts, working with stakeholders on consumer-centric, brand-relevant retail design solutions focused on ROI and ROX.
• Select, appoint and manage agencies and external partners for concept and store development initiatives.
• Monitor physical and digital retail trends to identify best practices and advance innovation in retail design.
• Promote and explain the strategic role of Retail Design as a key touchpoint in the omnichannel customer experience.
• Lead, develop and inspire Store Design professionals, ensuring delivery against quality, budget and timeline targets.
• Foster collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, interior architecture or a similar field.
• Proven record of leading and directing retail design concepts from ideation through execution.
• At least 8–10 years of experience in store design and execution for a premium fashion brand.
• Experience leading teams and cross-functional teams.
• Instinctive feel for design and aesthetics.
• Passion for design innovation and strong intuition for trends.
• Good knowledge of architecture software tools.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills across interfaces and management levels, including board level.
• Ability to provide effective design direction and visual guidance with a strong point of view and design vision.
• Reliable execution experience, with in-depth technical understanding of local construction works and furniture production.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
