Role & Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in implementing initiatives and achieving goals and objectives, with a focus on stock and back-of-house operations.
• Help create a shopping experience through effective organization of back-of-house areas and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Ensure timely processing of shipments, transfers, damages and supplies, and maintain the organization of stock areas.
• Partner with the store management team to promote loss-prevention awareness.
• Ensure merchandise is processed promptly and available for sales-floor replenishment and sales staff.
• Record merchandise deliveries, compare records with orders, and report discrepancies to control costs and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Inspect merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced and displayed.
• Assist with implementing health and safety policies and operational procedures, using provided training and guidance to support store management.
• Comply with occupational health and safety requirements at all times.
• May hold store keys and regularly participate in store opening and closing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of stock experience.
• Effective time management and the ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to handle, place, ship and receive merchandise.
• Ability to work with retail operating systems, a PC and scanning equipment.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor and in stockrooms for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to contribute to an effective and productive team and work environment.
• High level of communication skills.

Experience

2–3 years of stock experience.
