HUGO BOSS is seeking a Logistics Group Leader for its Goods Dispatch team at the distribution centre in Metzingen. The role leads employees and temporary workers, oversees logistics operations and budgets, ensures safety and goods security, and drives process optimisation and cross-functional projects. It is a full-time, unlimited contract with a 37-hour work week and fixed shift schedules.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all employees in the area of responsibility, including temporary workers.
- Oversee logistics operations for the assigned area in line with individual KPIs and the agreed budget.
- Work closely with the direct manager, the Logistics Team Leader, peers in adjacent departments, and other internal and external stakeholders, particularly across the supply chain.
- Continuously optimise processes and initiate, support, or lead cross-functional projects and subprojects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant occupational and safety regulations in close collaboration with the responsible specialists, and consistently monitor and assess processes critical to goods security.
Qualifications
- Master craftsman qualification, specialist business administrator qualification, or degree in logistics or a comparable field, with relevant professional experience.
- Leadership experience and enjoyment of working with people, with strong communication skills and an empathetic personality.
- Commitment and a hands-on approach.
- Organisational skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Process-oriented and analytical understanding; good IT skills, including MS Office and SAP EWM.
- Very good German and advanced English skills.
