The Specialist, Designated Beauty Advisor at Holt Renfrew's flagship Montreal location develops deep, lasting relationships with clientele to drive sales, service quality, and loyalty. Reporting to the beauty department manager, the role requires developing a personal client base through consistent acquisition and retention while exceeding individual and brand sales targets. The advisor will leverage expert product knowledge to mentor store team members, execute visual merchandising tasks, facilitate educational sessions, and maintain strong vendor relationships. Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver consistently exceptional service and product expertise to all customers
- Exceed personal sales targets and brand sales objectives on a regular basis
- Build and retain a loyal personal clientele through continuous prospecting and relationship management
- Share in-depth product knowledge with the broader store selling team to elevate advisory capability
- Identify and capitalize on key merchandising and event opportunities to stimulate brand sales
- Maintain collaborative relationships with buyers, vendors, and sales management
- Communicate regularly with personal clients via phone, mail, and electronic channels regarding in-store events, product requests, follow-ups, and occasions
- Execute visual merchandising, floor recovery, pricing changes, and inventory-related support tasks
- Attend all mandatory educational sessions, vendor trainings, and internal seminars to maintain product mastery
- Resolve customer service issues independently and escalate complex concerns to sales management
- Comply with health, safety, privacy, and cyber security policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a commission-based environment
- Minimum two years' prior experience in commission-based sales
- Prior retail sales experience as a product specialist in a luxury environment strongly preferred
- Expert-level product knowledge capability and ability to master complex product portfolios
- Entrepreneurial, competitive, and self-motivated mindset
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented work approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Fluency in both French and English (bilingual proficiency required)
