Holt Renfrew seeks an HR Operations & Systems Specialist (9-month contract) in Toronto, ON—maintain HRIS, manage systems, and optimize HR processes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide high-level customer service to internal and external stakeholders through workflow management and continuous process optimization to meet evolving business needs
- Deliver process updates and changes to HR Business Partners and designated client groups; proactively plan for cyclical and long-term business needs in partnership with key stakeholders
- Support HRIS administration and configure small to medium-scale configuration changes across the system, including testing and deployment
- Manage the HR Connect tool (Jira), including user training, dashboard management, user administration, and system updates
- Triage incoming first-level requests through HR Connect, assign responsibilities and resources as required
- Ensure accurate data recording in alignment with business expectations and Corporate Architecture Governance Framework; perform data audits and modifications as needed
- Design and deliver company-wide and ad hoc reports, including monthly and quarterly regular reports, executive-level dashboards, cross-functional reporting, and external reporting submissions
- Perform HRIS and other system testing and training as required
- Create and maintain training resources and documentation for employees
- Independently identify process improvement opportunities, conduct analysis and research, and present recommendations with supporting documentation
- Respond to audit requests and partner with Internal Audit on inquiries, recommended changes, and process adjustments
- Execute other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 1–2 years of HRIS system experience (Workday experience preferred)
- Experience with issue-ticketing systems such as Jira or Service Now
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with ability to drive results
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to function as both leader and individual contributor
- Confident and effective written and verbal communication
- Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity and organizational change
- Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience
1–2 years of HRIS system experience and familiarity with HR operations processes. Experience in a corporate or retail environment is advantageous.
Education
Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent professional work experience.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 65,000 to CAD 72,000 per annum.
