Hermès seeks Workshop Supervisor – Inspection and Shipping in Bussières, France. Lead textile inspection and logistics team in permanent CDI role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Allocate fabric rolls for inspection across workstations based on material specifications and delivery commitments
- Generate and receive production orders via integrated ERP systems (Solin, M3)
- Verify subcontracted textile invoicing and manage procurement documentation
- Enforce operational procedures and quality protocols across the workshop
- Alert quality assurance team to non-conformances and coordinate remediation
- Manage transporter relationships and consumables inventory (tubes, packaging, supplies)
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance requests when malfunctions occur
- Pack and dispatch customer orders according to shipment specifications
- Liaise with central supply chain scheduling to track and confirm shipments
- Produce monthly operational activity reports and performance metrics
- Lead team around core operational objectives including safety, quality, productivity, and 5S organization
- Conduct recruitment interviews, onboarding, and training for new hires, apprentices, and temporary staff
- Perform annual and professional evaluations; identify and support competency development opportunities
- Model exemplary health and safety conduct and ensure full compliance across the workshop
- Identify workplace hazards, anticipate risks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives per DUER (Document Unique d'Évaluation des Risques)
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing production teams
- Baccalauréat +2 (or equivalent higher qualification)
- Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Solin or M3
- Knowledge of logistics, workflow management, and supply chain operations
- Familiarity with textile manufacturing processes and terminology
- Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills with factory floor personnel and external suppliers
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years in production team management, ideally within textile manufacturing or high-precision industrial environments. Prior experience in inspection, quality assurance, or logistics operations is advantageous.
Education
Baccalauréat +2 or equivalent professional qualification in industrial management, supply chain, or related discipline.
