Role & Responsibilities

• Oversee workshop safety protocols, ergonomic best practices, and technical compliance across all production operations
• Guarantee production quality, adherence to delivery schedules, and volume targets while maintaining zero-defect standards
• Monitor and drive team quality, productivity, and behavioral metrics through continuous assessment and feedback
• Develop and cultivate artisan competencies through structured training plans and skills progression frameworks
• Participate actively in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives and collaborative projects across the site
• Coordinate with support services to resolve shared operational challenges and optimize workflows
• Execute autonomous decision-making within established objectives to ensure optimal workshop functioning
• Lead daily team animation through consistent field presence, fostering active listening, equity, and recognition
• Conduct quality audits, analyze production waste (recoupes), and implement corrective actions to minimize defects
• Manage internal and external return tracking, promote direct shipping practices, and escalate quality concerns as needed
• Orchestrate production workflows in compliance with established processes and procedures
• Anticipate resource needs and ensure delivery commitments align with production schedules
• Verify functionality and compliance of all production equipment (cutting, assembly, stitching installations)
• Propose technical improvements, working methods, and workplace optimizations to enhance comfort, quality, and efficiency
• Ensure workshop cleanliness, material organization, and proper functioning of safety equipment
• Champion environmental practices and health-safety culture across the team
• Manage administrative responsibilities and internal regulations enforcement while fostering open upward and downward communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) to Master's level (Bac+5)
• 3–5 years of professional experience in production environments
• Proven track record in team management and leadership
• Knowledge of leather goods manufacturing (leatherworking, saddlery, or related artisanal crafts preferred)
• Strong capabilities in federation and team engagement
• Ability to demonstrate exemplary leadership with pragmatism and sound judgment

Skills

Experience

3–5 years of professional experience in a production environment, with successful management experience. Knowledge of leather goods manufacturing and demonstrated leadership in artisanal or manufacturing settings is strongly preferred.

Education

Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) minimum; Master's level qualification (Bac+5) is valued.
