Hermès seeks temporary Welcomist for Rome boutique. Fluent Italian/English, luxury retail experience, €27,000 annual salary. 2-month contract.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome clients with warm and hospitable greetings, setting the tone for their boutique experience
- Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Engage clients awaiting availability of Sales Associates, providing informed and welcoming conversation
- Manage customer queues using dedicated Hermès management applications and devices
- Assist clients and support sales colleagues in complex situations involving returns, reservations, and order management
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and customer visit planning for the sales team
- Liaise with Operations teams to facilitate timely delivery of online orders, after-sales services, and reservations
- Maintain and update the store calendar of events and appointments
- Oversee store presentation and ambiance by supervising external suppliers including florists and catering services, ensuring consistent inventory of food and beverage offerings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with a linguistic or fashion and luxury focus
- Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages highly valued
- Minimum one year of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury retail or hospitality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other IT tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
- Team player mentality with ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Demonstrated availability, flexibility, and ability to thrive in a high-pace retail environment

Experience
Minimum one year of professional experience in customer service, preferably within luxury retail boutiques or luxury hospitality environments.
Education

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 27,000 per annum.
