Hermès (ATBC) — Weaving Technical Specialist in Bussières. Senior full-time role supporting loom setup, quality and industrialisation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support to loom setters (gareurs) for machine setup, adjustments and troubleshooting to optimise performance and product quality.
- Act as the primary technical liaison for production teams, supporting multi-skill weavers in preparation of re-sets and maintenance of knotting machines.
- Lead development trials from initial proof-of-concept through industrialisation in coordination with the workshop manager.
- Drive continuous improvement of loom settings and production processes to increase yield, reduce defects and shorten lead times.
- Maintain technical and technological watch over the machine park and recommend upgrades or adaptations.
- Manage spare parts inventory for weaving equipment to ensure production continuity.
- Ensure compliance with HSE rules: identify and mitigate operational risks, enforce housekeeping and machine safety practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bac+2 level in electronics, electrotechnics, mechanical engineering, textile weaving or equivalent technical diploma.
- Minimum 10 years' practical experience in weaving operations as a gareur, assembler (monteur) or loom expert.
- Deep knowledge of weaving processes, thread crossing, weave structures (armures) and textile materials.
- Proven ability to conduct machine trials and follow through to industrialisation.
- Strong interpersonal and teaching skills with proven ability to support and train production teams.

Experience
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in weaving production: roles such as gareur, monteur, loom expert or equivalent, with a track record of machine setup, troubleshooting and process improvement.
Education
Bac+2 technical diploma (electronics, electrotechnics, mechanics or textile/weaving production) or equivalent.
