Hermès seeks a Visual Merchandising Intern to support the daily organization and coordination of its Windows program, including quarterly rollouts, display installation, budget tracking and documentation. This full-time, in-person internship runs January 11–June 28, 2027, as part of the five-month Generation H program; the schedule is 37.5 hours per week, with pay of $20 per hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Visual team to create and maintain the window rollout schedule and assist with scheduling prop deliveries.
- Add product placements and directives to store renderings so the Visual team can merchandise each module appropriately.
- Assist with installing and merchandising local window displays in New York City and potentially New Jersey.
- Assist with budget tracking.
- Visit shops to review prototypes.
- Dispatch beauty samples to stores for displays as needed.
- Prepare a photo report at the end of each quarterly rollout and upload photos to the global photo library.
- Manage the electronic folder system, ensuring all windows are documented with photos and renderings are archived.
Qualifications
- Currently a junior or senior undergraduate student, or a graduate student, in a relevant field such as Interior Design, Fine Arts or Business.
- Strong interest in, or previous experience with, the luxury sector and the design or home decoration sector.
- Detail-oriented, creative and a fast learner.
- Able to work effectively both collaboratively and independently.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Organized, prompt, polite, professional and a team player.
- French speaking and writing is a plus.
- Able to work in person at a company-designated location.
