Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure daily application and upkeep of the store's Visual Merchandising (VM) standards and guidelines to maintain a singular, inspiring environment for a high‑expectation local and international clientele.
- Design and execute product rotations and display changes according to the VM calendar, maintaining a consistent cadence throughout the year and during peak periods.
- Manage availability, condition and storage of POS materials (PLV); identify replenishment needs and initiate orders for new or replacement displays for openings or refits.
- Maintain the visual quality of in‑store departments: product placement, garment steaming/finishing, minor tailoring/repairs, lighting and general presentation.
- Coordinate with visual merchandisers, sales teams, logistics and stock staff to support picking, storage and the operational readiness of display items and ancillary goods.
- Lead VM briefs and share priorities with store teams; produce and circulate VM communications (photographs, reports) through dedicated internal channels.
- Act as the store's VM representative with the Maison's métiers and central VM teams; contribute to the Hermès Distribution France VM community and local VM projects (events, PR activations).
- Analyse store performance (including sales metrics) to recommend VM adaptations and propose adjustments to departmental leaders to support commercial objectives.
- Support the Store Director's vision and collaborate cross‑functionally to align VM activity with broader store initiatives and events (in‑store and off‑site).
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Display, Retail Design or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of confirmed field experience in Visual Merchandising; prior retail sales experience is an advantage.
- Proven mastery of visual merchandising techniques and store presentation standards.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility with the ability to communicate and transmit a clear visual intention to teams.
- Capacity to manage projects, prioritise actions and structure an operational plan under commercial constraints.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional nights and Sundays; discretion and precision when working in open or closed stores.
Skills
Experience
Minimum six years of practical, on‑the‑floor experience in visual merchandising within premium or luxury retail environments; experience in sales and cross‑functional collaboration with merchants and stock teams is desirable.
Education
Degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, Display or a related field.
