Hermès — Dayton, NJ: Traffic & Claims Manager to oversee domestic transportation, carrier relations, claims and invoicing at the Dayton Distribution & Service Center.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate domestic transportation activities to ensure timely pickup, movement and delivery of materials supporting boutiques and corporate operations.
  • Manage carrier relationships and operational escalations (including FedEx), handling reroutes, shipment investigations and service exceptions.
  • Direct transportation invoicing processes: perform weekly follow-ups on outstanding or unbilled shipments, maintain invoice reconciliation and identify gaps in billing.
  • Administer claims processes for theft/damage: support filing, maintain centralized claims log, track reimbursement progress and quantify total loss impact.
  • Maintain and enforce comprehensive filing, documentation and shipment/invoice tracking logs to ensure accuracy, compliance and accessibility.
  • Monitor and report traffic KPIs and support KPI-driven initiatives to reduce non-deliverables and improve service performance.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Dayton Traffic Team, including signage creation, documentation, internal communications and general office workflows.
  • Partner with Traffic leadership to organise, label and manage non‑product project materials and coordinate their transportation and delivery.
  • Supervise team members, exercise budgetary oversight and make operational decisions within delegated authority; escalate issues and recommend actions to the Director of Traffic & Purchasing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on managerial experience in distribution, traffic or service center operations.
  • Proven supervisory experience with responsibility for team performance and decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with invoice reconciliation, claims management and carrier dispute resolution.
  • Solid budgeting acumen and ability to apply sound financial judgment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods including weekends.

Experience

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 90094.58 to USD 106475.42 per annum.
