Hermès — Tooling & Continuous Improvement Intern in Pantin, France. Six‑month engineering internship focused on tooling recyclability and continuous improvement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate and implement one or more recycling streams for plastics used in the production of tooling (moulds, jigs, cutters) to reduce environmental footprint.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and internal production sites to validate recycling solutions and ensure traceability of returned materials.
- Contribute continuous‑improvement projects for the Tooling & Processes team, including redesign of the team’s internal mini‑site and formalisation of a tooling specification brief.
- Develop Power BI reports and dashboards to monitor tooling activity, KPIs and progress on improvement initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications and pilot trials; present findings and recommendations to the Head of Tooling & Processes.
Qualifications
- Final‑year engineering student (école d’ingénieur) enrolled in an accredited programme.
- At least one prior professional experience (internship or short placement) in an industrial or technical environment; early‑career candidates may be considered.
- Basic knowledge or strong interest in life cycle analysis, recyclability and carbon footprint assessment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Pack Office), SharePoint and Power BI for reporting and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with craftsmen, suppliers and cross‑functional teams; organised, methodical and proactive.

Previous experience in a company (typically at least one internship) is expected; candidates with limited professional history but demonstrable project experience in sustainability or manufacturing will be considered.
