Hermès seeks experienced Tool & Die Maker – Stamping in Le Noirmont, Switzerland. Full-time CDI role fabricating precision cold stamping tools.
Role & Responsibilities
- Fabricate and calibrate cold stamping dies and tools, ensuring dimensional accuracy and aesthetic conformity of stamped components
- Operate and program CNC machining equipment, wire-cut EDM, and EDM sinker machines to produce tooling according to technical specifications
- Develop and document manufacturing procedures and operational guidelines for stamping tool production and maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fabricated stamping tools to extend their lifespan and optimize production performance
- Collaborate with the Technical Engineering Department to refine tool designs, integrate design modifications, and support industrialization workflows
- Identify opportunities for process and tooling optimization to improve die longevity, consistency, and product quality requirements
- Contribute to internal knowledge preservation regarding stamping die design expertise and maintain awareness of technological advances in the tooling sector
- Comply with all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations and workplace safety protocols
Qualifications
- CFC Mechanic certification or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in stamping tool and die fabrication
- Proven proficiency in CNC machine tool programming and operation
- Working knowledge of CAD and cold-forming simulation software (Coldform or similar)
- Proficiency with standard business software (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated rigor, attention to detail, and disciplined work methodology
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal communication skills
- Alignment with luxury heritage values and commitment to craft excellence
