Hermès Sellier (Paris) seeks a Textile Designer — 6‑month fixed‑term starting Sep 2026 to design prints and colourways for Home collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and develop printed patterns, engravings and colourways for home textiles and objects (plaids, printed cushions, table linens, porcelain and ceramic printed objects).
- Produce 3D mock‑ups, paper prototypes and colour variants for textile accessories and small leather/textile goods (indoor and outdoor).
- Coordinate projects from concept through prototype with the Collection team, Technical Development and the bureau d’études to ensure manufacturability and final quality.
- Contribute to the seasonal collection plan and participate in collective creative briefs aligned with the Maison’s artistic vision.
- Attend and contribute to weekly internal and supplier meetings, ensuring timelines and retro‑planning are met for each delivery milestone.
- Translate artistic direction into detailed technical specifications and support sampling and pre‑production validations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in textile or product design; graduates from ENSAD, ENSCI, ENSAAMA or La Cambre are highly regarded.
- Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in textile/ product or homewares design within a collection‑driven environment.
- Demonstrable portfolio of printed textiles, surface patterns and product proposals for home or accessory categories.
- Strong knowledge of materiality, manufacturing constraints and prototyping processes; experience working with development and technical teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with capacity to collaborate across sites and with external suppliers; organized, precise and deadline‑driven.
- Affinity for design history, contemporary art, architecture and innovation in materials and processes.

Experience
At least 3 years’ experience in textile or product design for home, lifestyle or accessory collections, with hands‑on involvement in pattern creation, colour development and prototype follow‑up through technical development to final prototype.
Education
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in textile design, product design or equivalent; schools such as ENSAD, ENSCI, ENSAAMA, La Cambre preferred.
