Hermès Pantin: Senior Technical Reference for semi-finished goods in women's ready-to-wear collections. Full-time CDI role reporting to Design Office Director.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary technical liaison between the design studio and production teams, ensuring alignment of technical requirements with manufacturing feasibility and product vision
  • Provide technical guidance to collection teams, semi-finished product managers, internal workshops, external design offices, and production teams during development and industrialization phases
  • Oversee handover of collections from development to production, including fit assessments, construction specifications, and grading tables
  • Participate in all production fittings for semi-finished models and propose corrective measures to optimize production timelines
  • Accompany external design offices and production teams through industrialization, managing fit adjustments, technical commentary, measurement tables, and grading documentation
  • Maintain and update manufacturing standards and technical specifications documentation
  • Provide technical input during collection fit reviews, guiding corrections to enhance garment fit and streamline industrialization
  • Ensure compliance with Hermès quality standards for all garment construction and finishing details
  • Validate complex design elements through prototype assessment to secure pre-industrialization planning
  • Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions with production teams and coordinate handover meetings with technical stakeholders
  • Support pricing discussions by proposing solutions that optimize quality-to-price ratio while respecting design direction
  • Execute comprehensive technical fittings and provide detailed revision guidance using technical sketches, pattern drawings, and photographic documentation
  • Collaborate with the Methods department on prototype development for assembly validation following technical reviews
  • Travel to manufacturing facilities during initial production launches and collection runs as required

Qualifications

  • Patternmaker or pattern grader training with minimum 10 years of ready-to-wear experience
  • Workshop experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of garment construction and fabrication techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated autonomy, adaptability, and leadership in managing complex technical projects
  • Strong product sensibility and genuine passion for fashion and garment construction
  • Fluency in English or Italian is advantageous

Experience

Education

Formal training as a patternmaker or in fashion design/pattern grading; diploma from an accredited fashion or textiles institution is expected.
