Hermès seeks a Technical Manager in Champigny-sur-Marne to oversee plant maintenance, capital projects, and industrial operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and pilot the technical and maintenance strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, including equipment renewal and modernization needs
- Guarantee production tool availability and reliability through organization of preventive, corrective, and improvement maintenance activities
- Analyze equipment malfunctions and failure causes to implement reliability-focused corrective actions and reduce downtime
- Pilot performance indicators and define associated action plans to drive continuous operational improvement
- Identify and formalize site investment requirements; construct and oversee capital budgets within assigned scope
- Develop or supervise technical specifications for projects; evaluate solutions and analyze economic and operational merit
- Coordinate with supply chain partners and vendors; pilot technical projects, works, and installation upgrades
- Ensure compliance of equipment and installations to all applicable regulatory and safety requirements
- Supervise energy and fluid availability; track and optimize consumption to reduce costs and environmental impact
- Manage the technical team; define priorities and service organization, and develop team competencies and career progression
- Establish and monitor operational and investment budgets; track spending, commitments, and budget variances
- Optimize the total cost of maintenance and facility operations while balancing quality, performance, and durability
- Identify and manage technical risks linked to equipment and infrastructure; define and implement mitigation solutions
- Alert the EHS Manager and senior leadership to any situation presenting risk to personnel or assets
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in technical, industrial, or mechanical engineering
- Confirmed experience of 7 to 10 years in a similar technical management role
- Demonstrated expertise in technical project management and team leadership
- Proven experience piloting industrial master plans, new capital works, and major investments
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (5S, performance dashboarding, etc.)
- Strong command of industrial maintenance principles and practices
- Knowledge of machine safety, occupational health standards, protective equipment, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in English (reading and professional communication)

Experience
7 to 10 years of confirmed experience in a similar technical management or plant operations role, with demonstrated success in industrial maintenance strategy, capital project delivery, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment.
Education
Master's degree (Bac+5) in technical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent discipline.
