Puiforcat (Hermès subsidiary) seeks a Technical Development Project Manager for a 4-month fixed-term contract in Pantin. Oversee product development from design through industrialization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee operational management of product development projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, milestones, deliverables, and priority allocation
- Facilitate project tracking meetings and maintain transparent information flow across cross-functional teams
- Structure and formalize critical development phases including technical briefs, design reviews, prototype validation, and industrialization transitions
- Identify, anticipate, and manage technical, industrial, and scheduling risks
- Contribute to technical conceptualization of creative sketches in collaboration with the internal designer
- Conduct feasibility studies with Puiforcat workshop experts, integrating mechanical, structural, and usage constraints from initial phases
- Support sourcing initiatives for specialized techniques or innovations
- Coordinate technical planning, alerts, and risk mitigation during development and refinement phases
- Launch prototypes and execute optimization with workshop staff and external partners
- Establish purchase orders for materials and prototypes; create references and nomenclatures in the ERP system
- Estimate production costs and tool investment requirements; monitor total development expenditures
- Conduct packaging and transport design studies
- Monitor pre-series production and validation processes
- Analyze logistics flows to rationalize supplier bases and optimize component supply chains
- Build and validate industrial cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
- Finalize comprehensive technical manufacturing documentation including toleranced drawings, nomenclatures, control instructions, and specifications
- Transfer complete technical dossiers to workshop and operations teams
- Maintain and update all technical data repositories (plans, nomenclatures, product files)
- Ensure ERP data reliability and integrity; enforce quality, traceability, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an engineering school (Bac+5) in general engineering or mechanical specialization
- Significant initial experience in product development within both artisanal and industrial environments
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, particularly SolidWorks, and standard office tools (Microsoft Office suite)
- Fluent English; Italian proficiency is advantageous
