Hermès Manufacture de Métaux — Sustainability Project Associate (apprenticeship) in Fontenay‑sous‑Bois, France. 12‑month alternance starting Sept 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support life cycle assessment (LCA/ACV) activities: collect and formalize data, liaise with the Direction de la transition industrielle and technical correspondents, and capitalise environmental impact data by material and manufacturing technology.
- Collect, compile and categorise data required for annual carbon reporting from ERPs (TopSolid, M3), invoices and internal/external sources; enter data into the Group’s Sweep tool.
- Propose and help implement improvements or automation of the annual data collection process and share best practices across HMM sites.
- Contribute to ad‑hoc environmental studies (carbon, GHG, water, raw materials, biodiversity) and to projects reducing environmental impacts, including material recycling streams and mobility initiatives.
- Design and deliver thematic training sequences for engineering and manufacturing teams; produce communication content and participate in RSE/HSE/SD themed events and local awareness activities.
Qualifications
- Enrolment in a Bac+4/5 (Master’s level) programme in environmental science, sustainability, environmental engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong aptitude for data handling: ACV/LCA data, KPI tracking, reporting and dashboarding.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑functional data collection, training delivery and stakeholder follow‑up.
- Interest in industrial processes, material flows and circularity; a proactive mindset for process improvement and automation.
- Previous internship or project experience in sustainability, carbon accounting or LCA is a plus.

Open to beginners; prior internship or project experience in sustainability reporting, LCA or environmental studies is advantageous but not required.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bac+4/5 (Master’s level) programme in environmental sciences, sustainability, environmental engineering or equivalent.
